Privacy notice
Plain-language handling of website information.
Effective July 12, 2026 · Last updated July 12, 2026
1. Scope
This Privacy Notice explains how Arid Insights LLC ("Arid," "we," "us," or "our") handles personal information through aridinsights.com, its preview sites, scheduling links, and related inquiry communications. A signed engagement may contain additional confidentiality, security, retention, and data-handling terms; those engagement terms control for the engagement if they conflict with this notice.
2. Information the website may collect
- Inquiry and scheduling information: name, work email, organization, role, meeting preferences, time zone, and the non-confidential description you choose to provide.
- Communications: email content, meeting details, follow-up notes, and records of consent or preferences.
- Technical and security information: IP address, browser and device type, requested pages, timestamps, referring page, and security or diagnostic logs generated by Cloudflare.
- Engagement information: if you become a client, additional business-contact, contract, billing, and project information governed by the engagement agreement.
We receive information directly from you, automatically from the hosting and security service, and from service providers you use to schedule or communicate with us.
3. What not to submit
Do not send confidential client information, privileged material, account credentials, personal financial or health information, government identifiers, export-controlled information, controlled unclassified information, utility vulnerability assessments, emergency-response plans, or sensitive infrastructure-security information through public scheduling or email intake. An inquiry does not create a confidential, client, fiduciary, or professional relationship.
4. How information is used
- Respond to inquiries, schedule conversations, and assess whether a proposed scope fits Arid's current work.
- Provide, administer, document, and improve agreed services.
- Operate, troubleshoot, secure, and measure the reliability of the website and communications systems.
- Prevent misuse, investigate security events, enforce agreements, and protect legal rights.
- Maintain business, tax, compliance, conflict-check, and communications records.
- Comply with applicable law and respond to lawful process.
5. Service providers and disclosures
We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We disclose information only as reasonably necessary to the following categories:
- Cloudflare: website hosting, content delivery, TLS, security, and diagnostic logging.
- Calendly: scheduling and appointment communications. Information entered on Calendly is also subject to Calendly's privacy notice.
- Google Workspace: business email, calendar, documents, and authorized internal business records.
- Zoom: video meetings when a scheduled conversation uses Zoom.
- Professional advisers: attorneys, accountants, insurers, and auditors subject to appropriate duties.
- Authorities or transaction parties: when required by law, necessary to protect rights or security, or as part of a merger, financing, reorganization, or sale subject to appropriate protections.
6. Cookies and analytics
The Arid website does not currently use application analytics, advertising pixels, session replay, or cross-site behavioral advertising. Cloudflare may process network and security information and may set strictly necessary cookies when providing security functions. Calendly operates on its own site and provides its own cookie choices. We will update this notice and deploy any legally required choice mechanism before adding non-essential analytics or advertising technology.
Because we do not currently conduct cross-site behavioral tracking on the Arid website, the site does not separately respond to browser "Do Not Track" signals. Where legally required, we will honor applicable opt-out preference signals for covered processing.
7. Retention
- Unsuccessful or inactive prospect inquiries: up to 24 months after the last substantive contact.
- Scheduling records and routine prospect communications: up to 24 months, unless retained with an active client file.
- Client agreements, deliverable records, and material project communications: generally 7 years after the engagement ends.
- Accounting and tax records: generally 7 years or longer when required by law.
- Security and diagnostic logs: ordinarily up to 12 months, unless needed to investigate an incident or legal claim.
- Suppression and consent records: as long as reasonably needed to honor the preference or demonstrate compliance.
We may retain information longer when required by law, contract, insurance, litigation hold, or a documented security need, and may delete it sooner when it is no longer needed.
8. Security
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards selected for the information handled, including access controls, multifactor authentication where available, encrypted transmission, vendor review, least-privilege access, and incident-response procedures. No system is completely secure. Arid does not claim SOC 2 certification or any other security certification unless expressly stated.
9. Your choices and privacy requests
Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, or a copy of personal information, or object to certain processing. Email hello@aridinsights.com with the subject "Privacy request." We may ask for information reasonably necessary to verify your identity and authority. We will use verification information only for the request, respond within the legally applicable period, explain any denial, and will not discriminate against you for making a request.
You may opt out of promotional email by using the unsubscribe method in the message or replying with "unsubscribe." Service and relationship communications may continue where appropriate.
10. Children
The website and services are directed to business professionals and are not intended for children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through this site. Contact us if you believe a child submitted information.
11. United States processing and third-party links
Arid and its providers process information in the United States and other locations where the providers operate. Third-party sites, including Calendly, control their own privacy practices; review their notices before providing information.
12. Changes
We will update the date above when this notice changes. If a change materially affects how previously collected information is used, we will provide additional notice or obtain consent when required by law.
